EASY WAYS TO GIVE
The Holy Michael Foundation is a non-profit corporation established for the sole purpose of supporting the ministry and mission of St. Michael’s. The Foundation is governed by a board of directors, including the Rector and lay members directly appointed by the Vestry.
BEQUEST
Including the Holy Michael Foundation in your will is the easiest way to make a lasting difference to your parish. If you currently have a will, please ask your attorney to prepare a simple codicil stating your wishes to bequeath a portion of your estate to the Holy Michael Foundation. Bequests can be designated as a specific amount or a percentage, or can be a gift of cash, securities, real estate or tangible personal property. If you do not have a will, we encourage you to consult with an attorney to have one prepared. Every adult needs a will.
RETIREMENT PLAN ASSETS
Retirement funds are an attractive, yet often overlooked, option for planned giving, as they may offer tax advantages. To make a charitable gift of retirement assets, you would need to complete a new beneficiary designation form naming the Holy Michael Foundation as a percentage beneficiary. You may also be eligible to make qualified contributions directly from your IRA.
LIFE INSURANCE
You may use one or more of your whole life insurance policies as a gift to the Holy Michael Foundation. This can be accomplished by naming the Holy Michael Foundation as a full or percentage beneficiary, or by transferring policy ownership to the Holy Michael Foundation. As with retirement assets, arranging for this can be as simple as completing a new beneficiary designation form.
OTHER FORMS OF GIVING
