WATER LINE CONSTRUCTION ON CANTERBURY ROAD

UPDATE ON ROAD CONSTRUCTION

The ongoing road project to install new water lines in the Budleigh Neighborhood will continue along Canterbury Road one block at a time until it reaches Wade Avenue.

Currently, Carolina Civil Works is working on the 1500 block of Canterbury Road. We have been in contact with them to discuss the best route to access the church. Please be mindful of the following:

  • Outside of the workday (9 a.m. — 5 p.m.) and during the weekend, traffic may travel on Canterbury Road without interruption. It will be slow going and drivers must navigate around signage and construction.

  • During the weekday, you can approach the church entrance from the direction of Wade Avenue or from the direction of Fairview Road or Cambridge Road. Please note that construction is heaviest at the intersection of Lewis Farm Road and Canterbury Road, so proceed with caution. The signs on both ends of Canterbury — which read ROAD CLOSED — are there to let people know that it is not a through street, but traffic is allowed to the church.

Please know we are aware of the situation. We are in communication with the city and we will keep you updated as we get information. Please be patient, drive slowly and with caution and allow extra time for travel.
